welcome to bastet counseling

Whether you're overwhelmed with the day-to-day, drowning in demands of new motherhood, carrying the weight of anxiety or depression, running on empty from burnout, healing from trauma, or simply feeling like you've lost yourself somewhere along the way — you've found the right place.

Bastet Counseling is a telehealth therapy practice created specifically for women, offering warm, evidence-based care for anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, maternal stress, and the full range of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders — including support through fertility challenges, birth trauma, and pregnancy or infant loss.

All sessions are 100% online, making it easy to access quality care from the comfort and privacy of your own home, anywhere in Kentucky.

With more than 12 years of experience in women's and perinatal mental health, I bring both the clinical expertise and the genuine human warmth to help you move from just getting through the day to actually feeling like yourself again.

The work we do together will be grounded in real science, tailored to your unique story, and rooted in the belief that you are already stronger than you think.

This is an inclusive, affirming space that celebrates all backgrounds, identities, and family structures — because every woman deserves to feel at home here.

Insurance, self-pay, HSA, and FSA accepted. Superbills available upon request.

the vibe matters

Finding the right therapist is one of the most important decisions you can make for yourself — and fit matters. I want you to come into this space knowing exactly what to expect, so you can feel confident that this is the right place for you.

You'll find a space that is genuinely safe and judgment-free.  Whatever you've been through, whatever choices you've made, whatever thoughts you've been afraid to say out loud — this is a space where all of it is welcome. I mean that. There is no version of your story that will shock me, change how I see you, or make me think less of you. You can show up exactly as you are.

You'll be met with warmth — and also with honesty.  I lead with compassion, always. And because I genuinely care about your growth, I won't just tell you what you want to hear. I believe in gentle accountability — the kind that feels like a caring nudge rather than a critique. I'm in your corner, and sometimes being in your corner means helping you see something you might be avoiding.

You'll be seen as whole, capable, and resourceful. My approach is strength-based, which means I'm not here to catalog what's wrong with you. I start from the belief that you already have within you what you need to heal and grow — and my job is to help you access it. We'll work with your strengths, not around them.

You'll get science and soul in equal measure. The work we do together will be grounded in evidence-based approaches that have real research behind them — because you deserve care that actually works. But therapy isn't just clinical, and I don't treat it that way. There's room here for your intuition, your values, your lived experience, and your own definition of what healing looks like for you.

You'll never be handed a to-do list or told what to do.  I don't give advice, and I don't have a prescription for your life. My role isn't to tell you what decisions to make or how to live — it's to help you get clear enough within yourself that you can trust your own answers. You are the expert on your own life, and I'll always treat you that way.

You'll be fully accepted — all of you, and all of your family.  I am affirming and inclusive of all backgrounds, identities, relationship structures, and lifestyles. Families come in every shape and form — traditional, blended, single-parent, co-parenting, child-free by choice, chosen family, and everything in between — and every one of them is honored here. There is no "right" way to build a life or a family, and you will never be made to feel otherwise in this space.

And yes — your fur babies count.  If your pet is family — and they absolutely are — you'll never have to explain or justify that here. The bonds we have with our animals are real, meaningful, and worthy of the same respect as any other relationship in your life. Whether you're grieving a pet, navigating the joy and chaos of a full house of animals, or simply need your therapist to understand that your dog is not "just a dog" — you're in the right place.

If you read this and felt something that sounded like yes — I'd love to connect. Reach out today to schedule your free consultation, and let's see if we're a great fit together.
